Obituary for Cathrin C. Nevin

A motorcycle accident on August 6th, in Sacramento, CA, took the life of Cathrin Carr Nevin, lovingly known as Cat, at the young age of 39. Cat was born in Yuba City, CA, on February 7, 1978, and attended local schools.

Cathrin Nevin was an accomplished Insurance Adjuster (16 years) and was currently working for VeriClaim Inc. She was also a member of the Sacramento Claims Association for sixteen years, and at times a board member. She embraced her job as a means to help others in need and her goal was to better the world at every turn.

Cathrin's spare time was spent being a spiritual artist and golf enthusiast. She was an avid lover of nature and had a genuine passion for music and dance. Cathrine loved being a mom and spending time with her two beautiful daughters.

Cathrin is survived by her two childern; Cara Nevin (twenty-two), and Haylee Nevin (sixteen), both of Olivehurst, CA. She also leaves behind five siblings; Carlton Brockett and Steven Brockett, both of Coxsackie, NY, Thomas Brockett of Olivehurst, CA, Kelly (Brockett) Gardner of Yuba City, CA, Kristen (Carr) McClelland of Linda, CA, and her Aunt, Darleen Corbett of Olivehurst, CA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Allene Bailey and stepfather, Wayne Bailey of Yuba County, her father, Wallace Carr of Nebraska, and brother James Brockett of Yuba County.

A service will be held on August 26th, 2017, at 4pm. (Lakeside Colonial Chapel on D Street in Marysville, CA). All are welcome to attend and celebrate Cathrin Nevin's life.
