Obituary for Charles G. Freise

Born June 5, 1935, to Charles and Nona Freise, in St. Louis, MO. He was raised primarily by his grandparents, James and Florence Hughes. Jerry entered into the U.S. Air Force on June 12, 1952, and served his country proud until August 1, 1972.

He married Florence Schwamberger in December, 1961. His wife, Florence Elaine, son, Vincent Gerald and brother, Gary Freise preceded him in death.

He leaves behind a daughter Debbie Whittaker, of Lincoln; son Randy Freise, of Lincoln; grandson Vincent Freise, of Yuba City; granddaughter Amber Freise, of Lincoln; grandsons, Billy and Steven Mongold, of Lincoln; granddaughter Brandy Long, of Missouri; granddaughter Tony Freise, of Oklahoma; numerous great-grandchildren; a sister Della Kapple, of Oklahoma; sisters, Beverly Beasley and Mary Krupp, of Kansas; and a brother Robbie Lindsey of Kansas.

After retiring from the Air Force he managed part stores in Alaska, worked on the Alaska pipeline, a short tour in Algeria with Bechtel Construction, and finally retiring as a project expediter for Bechtel Constructions Los Angeles Power Division in 1982.

He was a member of Branch 45, of Sons In Retirement, Beale AFB Senior Men's Golf Club, the Retired Enlisted Association and Disabled American Veterans Association. He enjoyed golf, auto racing, football, cooking and most of all his family and friends.

Services will be held Saturday, July 8, 2017, 11:00 am, at Wheatland Cemetery, 4865 Wheatland Rd., Wheatland.
